Ghana’s newly launched online educational and application platform, College in Ghana, has been nominated among the top 150 innovations developed by young innovators under the age of 30 by the World Youth Summit Awards.

Speaking to Biztechafrica, the Co-founder and Team Lead at Avance Media, Prince Akpah, revealed that College in Ghana was selected based on its mission on quality education, which focuses on “ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”

According to him the platform assists students and parents to make informed decisions, serving as an easy and hassle-free information hub for young people who want to pursue their tertiary education in Ghana.

The newly developed College in Ghana website and App platform, which is being financed and run by PR and Media Relations firm Avance Media and Kobby Webs Technology, shares vital admission information on higher education in Ghana.

The shortlisted projects, which are from 90 countries, focus on digital solutions to any of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Ultimate winners of this year’s World Youth Summit Awards will be awarded at the WSA Global Congress 2018 – slated March 20-22, 2018 in Vienna, Austria.

WSA Young Innovators is a special recognition for young social entrepreneurs under 30 years of age, using ICTs to take action on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
